I am a commercial user and have no problem with the subscription. BUT, I have a BIG problem with their Business Development Manager, Hasham Khan, first trying to strong arm me into paying more because according to him "multiple users were accessing the account"... I am THE singular user of the account and I travel. They must track IP addresses of the users as his accusations came after a recent business trip. After I thought I straightened that out, he came at me with another email , insinuating that I was not being truthful about being the singular user AND trying once again to get more money from my stock and video subscriptions I have, by saying that these were not business accounts. I unleashed on him in an email and let him know that I can see this is a very lame attempt at revenue generation and that if I was not compliant with his TOS, I would take by subscriptions to Adobe or iStock (my subscription is over $300 a month). I have not heard back yet but will be moving my subscription.

Shutterstock does have a new CEO. I think the business development manager is new too. SUPER, SUPER bad business practice on trying to play with a 12+ year customer.

This company cons people for a free trial that's really an annual commitment. Don't fall for their "free trial". Just stay away

Very organised scammers - don't even think about dealing with them.

Note the number of one-star comments saying the same thing - I think we can all see the comments on the few 5-star ratings and realise those are all fakes.

I don't often get scammed but these guys a experts at it!
It's so easy to miss the end of the trial. I've been paying for 15 months and can't get until next year - so another 7 months. In total for a free trial that will have cost over £500. Don't go anywhere near these people.

I thought I was signing up for a month. Nope it was a year and when I tried to cancel it they ignored for 2 months while charging $29. When I canceled they charged me $80 because it was a year subscription. I never asked for a year, I just wanted a single month and somehow ended up costing $200. I'm sorry, but this was downright dishonest and I'm tempted to file a legal complaint.

Their free month trial 100% bamboozled me. I missed the cut off to end the free trial and got roped into a YEAR long subscription of $30 per month!! To cancel they charge a $10/mo fee of the remaining months plus tax! what a complete rip off.

I was also swindled by Shutterstock with their free trial. While it's my own fault for not cancelling after 14 days, I was then locked in for a year at $29/month. I never received any email communication from them during the 9 months it took me to realize I was being charged nor did I ever log in again. If they really stood behind the value of their site, they could have confirmed I never logged in again or downloaded any content. Clearly, this is how they make their money. They were then going to charge me $20 to cancel early... when I complained, they said they could waive the cancellation fee as a "courtesy". Don't make the same mistake I did.

I would rate 0-star if I could. Offering free month to all of the suddern subscribing with over $20/m and when you want to cancel, they'll ask you $120 cancellation fee if you're cancelling before 12month. What is that!? Absolute rip off and the low rating is proving it!! Look how many people are not happy!!

Good luck trying to cancel your account. I attempted canceling my account twice, which included paying $40 to cancel. Yet they still charged me every month until I had to have my bank block them. Worst company.

My auto renewal is turned off but they keep charging me $69.00 month after month it looks more like robbing me month after month horrible.
